The Faculty of Agriculture organized 3rd late Prof. Somasundaram Kandiah memorial lecture-2024 to commemorate and appreciate its 1st dean’s services on 04th of Sep 2024 at the main auditorium faculty of Agriculture, Ariviyal Nagar, Kilinochchi from 10.00 am-11.35 am with the financial support of late Prof. Somasundaram Kandiah memorial lecture. This year, with the JICA-PRECIDA’s support Japanese eminent scientist Dr. Yasuhiro MORITA, Associate Professor, from Kyushu University, Japan delivered the memorial lecture under the title of " Improving Cattle Production in the Tropics". The Faculty of Agriculture signed a MOU with private agri-tcchnology solution partner SenzAgro with objectives to collaborate in knowledge sharing on Precision Agriculture with the University academics, students, and support them in their research projects and training with SenzAgro Crop Intelligence Platform (“AgriCore”) and to further strengthen the internship training towards job market. The Outreach Committee of the Faculty of Agriculture organized an Academia-Public-Private Discussion Forum on “Problem Solving in Agriculture Sector: Agri-Tec-2024” with the sponsorship of JICA PRECIDA – UOJ, World Vision and Agro Ceylon Fertilizer International (PVT) Limited on February 28, 2024, at the main auditorium of the Faculty of Agriculture, Ariviyal Nagar, Kilinochchi from 8.30 am - 4.00 pm.
