Dr. Mrs. S. Terensan Honoured by His Excellency the President of Sri Lanka
It is with immense pride that we announce a major achievement for our faculty: Dr. Mrs. S. Terensan, an esteemed member of our academic staff, has won the First Place (Non-Plantation Sector) at the National Awards for Excellence in Agricultural Research 2023.
The prestigious award was presented by His Excellency the President of Sri Lanka at the official ceremony.
This national recognition, conferred by the Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy (SLCARP) under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation, celebrates the excellence and impact of her research.
The award-winning research is titled:
“Assessment of Pathogeography and Pathogenicity of the Blast and Brown Spot Diseases in Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Using Phenetic, Molecular, and Digital Image Sensing Approaches.”
This exceptional work highlights the faculty’s commitment to scientific innovation and its direct contribution to addressing critical challenges in Sri Lankan agriculture.
