Walk-in Interview

Walk in interview for the appointments to the following temporary positions will be held on 25^th and 26^th November 2025 from 09.00 am in the Board Room of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna Ariviyalnagar, Kili nochchi.

Temporary Assistant Lecturer / Temporary Demonstrator in Agronomy/ Animal Science/Agricultural Biology/Agricultural Chemistry/Agricultural Engineering/ Agricultural Economics.

Qualification: 

1. A Degree with Specialization in the relevant subject with First or Second Class (Upper Division) Honours;

OR

• A Degree with Specialization in the relevant subject with Second Class (Lower Division) Honours;

OR

• (a) A Degree with Specialization in the relevant subject without Honours or any other degree with at least Second Class Honours and (b) a recognized postgraduate degree in the relevant subject.

Note: Candidates who are awaiting the results of the final degree examinations may also apply for the post of Temporary Demonstrator only.

            Post                                         Salary Scale

Temporary Assistant Lecturer            A fixed monthly salary of Rs. 85,305/-subject to a deduction of Rs.17,812/-as an unpaid amount, in accordance with commission Circular No.02/2025(i) dated 04.04.2025.

Temporary Demonstrator                   A fixed monthly salary of Rs. 68,145/-subject to a deduction of Rs.12,058/-as an unpaid amount, in accordance with commission Circular No.02/2025(i) dated 04.04.2025.

In addition to the above salary, the allowances approved by University Grants Commission will also be paid.
