The Outreach Committee of the Faculty of Agriculture organized an workshop on SMART Agriculture with the sponsorship of JICA PRECIDA – UOJ, in collaboration with Sri Lanka and Commercial Bank PLC on June 27, 2025, at the main auditorium of the Faculty of Agriculture, Ariviyal Nagar; Farm units and Kilinochchi from 8.30 am – 4.15 pm. Around 100 Agriculture instructors of Northern Sri Lanka (50), commercial Bank beneficiary farmers (25) and youths from Kilinochchi, Mannar and Mullaitivu (25) were participated.
In this training automated Hi-Tech indoor farming, farm machineries, Drone technology were demonstrated at the Farm units of Faculty of Agriculture, outreach committee implementing SMART irritated farmer fields and commercial Bank, inthiagroup and faculty of Agriculture jointly implemented modernized paddy fields at Kilinochchi districts …….
