Staff and students of the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna invented a new drinking yoghurt incorporated with Bael fruit syrup. License for producing this yoghurt was given to Mullai milk processing industry, Mullaitivu, Sri Lanka. The newly developed yoghurt was launched for commercialization through University business linkage, University of Jaffna at Kailasapathy auditorium on 12th September 2022. This yoghurt was invented by lecturers of Animal Science, Mr.S.Anandkumar, Dr.(Mrs).S.Piratheepan, Mrs.S.Thirucchenthuran and Mr.S.Sivatharshan, Student, Specialized in Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna. Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna has successfully organized the orientation program for the newly admitted students (Academic year – 2020/2021) on 10th and 11th of October, 2022 at the main Auditorium of the Faculty of Agriculture in Ariviyal Nagar, Kilinochchi from 09.30 am - 04.00 pm. The inaugural session was well attended by Professors, Senior Lecturers, Lecturers, students, resource persons and other invitees.
