The Outreach Committee of the Faculty of Agriculture and Department of Agricultural Biology jointly conducted a workshop on tissue culture on 05.03.2025 from 9.00am-12.00noon. The workshop which was targeted the stakeholders in agriculture development on Tissue Culture, designed to disseminate knowledge and expand awareness of tissue culture applications beyond the immediate participants. Achievements and Output of the Training:
Participants gained hands-on experience in stock solution preparation, media preparation, aseptic operations, explant selection and explant inoculation. Prof. Kohara provided valuable insights on laboratory management and a considerable development has been achieved at Tissue culture laboratory. Relevant aspects in tissue culture techniques were imparted to the trainees.. Steps were trigereed to continue the fruitful research for the development seedless Indian blackberry, Banana and curry leaves. Research students received expert feedback to refine their methodologies. Academic staff and students benefited from lectures and discussions on tissue culture practices.
